The XFL and Canadian Soccer League announced on Wednesday that the 2 leagues are working towards a possible partnership.
The leagues said in an announcement they’ll work collectively to “establish alternatives for the leagues to collaborate, innovate, and develop the sport of soccer.”
No settlement has been reached relating to a possible merging of the leagues. The precise nature of a possible partnership has but to be introduced.

The XFL was beforehand planning to return in 2022 after it canceled its 2020 season amid chapter proceedings. The league introduced on Wednesday these plans have been put “on maintain” attributable to conversations with the CFL.
