White House cancels press briefing, citing snow-related federal closures

The White House on Monday introduced it is not going to maintain its day by day press briefing as a result of closure of federal workplaces prompted by snowy climate throughout the Washington, D.C., space.

The Nationwide Climate Service on Monday morning issued a winter storm warning for the District of Columbia and adjoining counties in Maryland and Virginia. The warning, which is able to stay in impact till 4 p.m., cautioned that snow accumulations throughout the District, the Washington metropolitan space and components of Northern Virginia may whole 5 to 10 inches.

The U.S. Workplace of Personnel Administration on Sunday night time announced that federal offices in the nation’s capital would be closed on Monday due to the snow storm. Because of this, “there shall be no press briefing at present,” the White House stated in an announcement circulated by a pool reporter on Monday morning.
