Within the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, New Orleans wanted a plan to resettle residents safely and guarantee a catastrophe of that scale by no means occurred once more.
In 2006, Dr. Elizabeth English based the Buoyant Foundation Project, which retrofits already current constructions into flotation units. The undertaking has already been efficiently applied in flood-threatened areas within the U.S., Nicaragua, Bangladesh, and Vietnam.
