In November 1991, the physique of the enterprise tycoon Robert Maxwell was recovered from the ocean off the Canary Islands. His death made headlines all over the world: was it an accident? Suicide? The journalist and creator John Preston has spent months delving into the life of Maxwell for his new ebook, Fall. He tells Rachel Humphreys about Maxwell’s “technicolour life” – a real rags-to-riches story. Lately, media consideration has targeted closely on Maxwell’s daughter Ghislaine who’s going through prices of aiding Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse. Preston describes her upbringing – one of 9 kids, who lived within the shadow of the mercurial Maxwell.
