Sam Darnold injury: Panthers QB to miss ‘several weeks’

Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold is predicted to miss “a number of weeks” due to a non-displaced scapula fracture, per the NFL Community’s Ian Rapoport

No date has been set for Darnold’s return to the sector. He won’t want surgical procedure for the damage.

Darnold, 24, has struggled for the Panthers in 2021 after three years with the Jets. He is tallied an NFL-high 11 interceptions this season, posting a middling 6.5 yards per try. Darnold has thrown 52 touchdowns and 50 interceptions since being chosen with the No. 3 decide within the 2018 NFL draft.

Carolina enters Sunday final within the NFC South at 4–5. P.J. Walker is predicted to begin instead of Darnold on Sunday because the Panthers face the Cardinals.
