Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in Wrexham squad for $1m, 7-a-side US tournament

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been included in Wrexham’s preliminary squad checklist for the $1million (£825,000) seven-a-side tournament the membership will compete in over the summer season.

Hollywood stars Reynolds and McElhenney co-own Wrexham and have been in cost of the Nationwide League membership since November 2020.

Wrexham’s participation in the tournament — named TST — was introduced earlier this month and will mark the primary time Wrexham have travelled to the US.

The competitors will happen in Cary, North Carolina, from Could 31 to June 4 however the first six members of Wrexham’s squad have already got been launched by the tournament organisers, with Reynolds and McElhenney included.
