Ricky Rubio injury: Cavaliers’ guard will miss rest of season with ACL tear

Cavaliers guard Ricky Rubio suffered an ACL tear in his left knee and will miss the rest of the season, in keeping with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. 

Rubio suffered the damage within the fourth quarter of the Cavaliers’ Tuesday loss to the Pelicans. He drove down the lane and tried to sidestep the protection, however slipped on his proper foot and stepped awkwardly with his left, falling to the ground. He instantly grabbed his left knee and waved for trainers to come back to his assist.

The previous first-round choose within the 2009 NBA draft suffered a torn ACL in his left knee again in 2012. Regardless of the Cavs’ 108-104 loss , Rubio completed the sport with  27 factors, 13 rebounds, 9 assists two steals and two blocks in 37 minutes of motion.
