Public advocate jumps into 2022 race for New York governor

ALBANY — New York Metropolis Public Advocate Jumaane Williams has formally declared a run for governor in 2022, becoming a member of Gov. Kathy Hochul and Legal professional Basic Tish James in a Democratic main subsequent summer time.

Williams, in a two minute and 14 second video ad launched late Monday night, drew on his analysis with Tourette syndrome, saying that it has by no means outlined him. He additionally spotlighted his years working as an activist and organizer.
