Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado give fans preview of what’s to come

It’s just the first week of Spring Training games, and the Cardinals’ dynamic duo is giving fans a taste of what’s coming this season.
In the first inning of the Cardinals‘ Spring Training game against the Nationals at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, FL, two of the National League’s top three finalists for Most Valuable Player were ready to shine.
With Patrick Corbin on the mound for the Nationals, Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado knocked back-to-back home runs on fly balls to center field.

Lovely swings from each Goldy and Arenado of their first homers of Spring Coaching. It’s good to see the pair moving into offensive swing as they put together for the World Baseball Traditional. The 2 are slated to miss a while in camp with the Cardinals as they play for Group USA.
Goldschmidt, the workforce’s designated hitter, was 2-for-3, whereas Arenado was 3-for-3 on the day.

The Cardinals went on to win the competition 5-3. Brendan Donovan grounded out within the fourth inning to rating Jordan Walker with Chad Kuhl on the mound. Within the fifth, Juan Yepez grounded out to rating Alec Burleson. Dylan Carlson singled to rating Kramer Robertson. Wily Peralta was on the mound for the Nats within the fifth inning.
High-pitching prospect Matthew Liberatore bought the beginning Tuesday. He gave up no hits in his two innings of work. One other high pitching prospect Gordon Graceffo bought the win for the Cardinals. Corbin earned the loss and a ten.80 ERA.
Jeter Downs singled to left subject to rating Matt Adams within the fifth inning off Giovanny Gallegos. Derek Hill singled within the sixth inning to rating Michael Chavis off Packy Naughton. Stone Garrett knocked a sacrifice fly to heart subject off Naughton to rating Keibert Ruiz.
It’s enjoyable to see Goldschmidt and Arenado shine. Hopefully, that is simply the beginning of huge issues in the course of the WBC and the season.
