NCAA replaces San Francisco Bowl with one-time replacement bowl game


The NCAA introduced plans so as to add a one-time replacement bowl game for this 12 months’s bowl season, in accordance with The Action Network’s Brett McMurphy

After the Division I Soccer Oversight Committee accepted a request to waive the April 1 bowl game certification software on Thursday afternoon, this 12 months’s bowl season will now embody 42 video games and permit for all 84 bowl-eligible groups to take part.

At first of the season and previous to the Committee’s vote, the bowl system consisted of 41 video games with 82 groups to fill all essential spots. 

Among the many groups that at the moment are eligible for a bowl game after the accepted change is Hawaiʻi (6-7) as a result of the Warriors performed in 13 common season video games and completed with six wins.
