NBA, NBPA reportedly agree to elevate COVID-19 protocols for the holiday season

The NBA and Nationwide Basketball Gamers Affiliation have reportedly agreed to new COVID-19 protocols for this holiday season, in accordance to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski

Per a memo obtained by the outlet, there can be a rise in every day testing and face masks for gamers and employees members, beginning on Dec. 26. The employees and gamers can be examined on sport days with the exceptions of those that not too long ago had COVID-19 or acquired their booster shot 14-days prior. 

They are going to be required to put on masks on the benches, whereas touring with the crew and in crew coaching services, per ESPN. 

The reported memo comes as COVID-19 instances proceed to rise throughout the league. In December, 52 gamers, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle, Sacramento coach Alvin Gentry and Raptors vice-chairman and president Masai Ujiri have entered the NBA’s well being and security protocols. Twenty-two gamers entered protocols between Wednesday and Thursday.
