Giants shut down QB Daniel Jones for rest of season with neck injury

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was positioned on the injured reserve checklist with a neck injury he is been dealing with, the team announced Monday. His season is over. 

“Over the course of the previous few weeks, Daniel has been examined by Dr. Frank Cammisa of Hospital for Particular Surgical procedure and Dr. Robert Watkins of the Marina Backbone Heart at Marina Del Rey Hospital,” head athletic coach Ronnie Barnes stated within the launch. “Our medical staff has continued to seek the advice of with Dr. Cammisa and Dr. Watkins relating to Daniel’s situation and signs, and at this level, Daniel has not been cleared for contact. We felt the prudent resolution was to put Daniel on injured reserve for the rest of the season. With continued rest and remedy, we anticipate a full restoration.”
