It was an emotional day for the Lions on Sunday. The workforce gained its first game of the season by way of a walk-off landing, however after the celebrations, coach Dan Campbell devoted the win to one thing that hit shut to house.

In an emotional speech, Campbell devoted the game ball to the victims of the Oxford Excessive Faculty shooting that occurred on Tuesday. 4 college students had been killed and eight others had been injured.

“This game ball goes to the entire Oxford neighborhood … all those that had been effected,” he mentioned. “I would like us to not overlook these names: Madisyn Baldwin, Hana St. Juliana, Justin Shilling, Tate Myre, Phoebe Arthur, John Asciutto, Riley Franz, Elijah Mueller, Kylie Ossege, Aiden Watson and Molly Darnell, who’s a trainer.
