Connor McDavid disappointed in the NHL’s withdrawal from 2022 Olympics

After Wednesday’s announcement of the NHL’s withdrawal from the 2022 Winter Olympics, Oilers captain Connor McDavid shared his ideas on the choice. 

“The entire thing is so disappointing,” McDavid instructed reporters on Sunday, per The Athletic. “It is onerous to essentially put into phrases what I feel a number of guys are feeling, particularly the guys that have not gotten to go earlier than. Now, we’re lacking it for the second time in a row. We won’t dwell on it.”


The NHL introduced that it couldn’t take part in the Olympics as a result of it has been compelled to reschedule dozens of video games as a result of COVID-19. Protocols now pressure the NHL to make use of the Olympic interval for rescheduled video games as an alternative.
