Clemson fires back on Sooners assistant who believes defense resides in Norman

The excitement surrounding Brent Venables has been nonstop since he was named because the Sooners new soccer coach after the departure of Lincoln Riley to USC. 

Even after Bob Stoops gave his stamp of approval on the way forward for Oklahoma’s program following the Sooners’ victory in the Alamo Bowl, Venables’s resume has nonetheless been on show.


Former Clemson defensive analyst Miguel Chavis—who joined Venables in Norman to function the Sooners defensive ends and outdoors linebackers coach—tweeted an image of the manufacturing of Venables-led defenses since 2012 with an attention-grabbing caption.

“Males lie, girls lie, numbers do not! We aren’t leaving the defense in South Carolina child,” Chavis tweeted.
