Brian Williams says he’s leaving NBC News at end of year

NEW YORK — Brian Williams, who remade his profession as an MSNBC host after dropping his job as NBC “Nightly News” anchor for making false claims a couple of wartime story, is leaving the community after 28 years.

Williams stated in a be aware to colleagues Tuesday that “following a lot reflection,” he had determined to exit when his contract ends in December.

“That is the end of a chapter and the start of one other,” Williams wrote. “There are various issues I need to do, and I’ll pop up once more someplace.”
